V S Dental College & Hospital was established in the year 1986 and was initially affiliated to Bangalore University. While it started with only a capacity for 52 students, the present intake of the College in the BDS course is over 100 students every year. The college is now affiliated to the prestigious and honorable Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. While the college only used to give out BDS degree in the beginning, it started its MDS training in the year 2001, and can intake around 38 students presently.
