SCMS is a recognized institution and is well acclaimed for its Master's program in Business Administration (MBA). This institute has received 'A' Grade Accreditation and is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. A candidate should have passed a Bachelor's Degree Examination and have secured a 50% from M.G.University or any such university recognized by the Mahatma Gandhi University is eligible to apply for this course. Any candidate with a master's degree, from the Mahatma Gandhi University, or any other university recognized by the Mahatma Gandhi University, having a 50% can also apply.
The three-year course MCA program is spread over six semesters. It provides high-quality software skills and hands-on knowledge of computer software. The faculty also organizes programs which deal with the usage of JAVA, PHP, PYTHON, DOTNET, and others. A minimum B.Sc./ BCA/ B.Tech / B.A./ B.Com degree with mathematics in +2 level or a Graduation with a total of 55% is required for applying in this course. The MCA Entrance Score will also be taken into account during admission.
The B.A. Degree program in Economics, B.Com Degree program and B.Sc.program in Biotechnology are only open to the students who have qualified their +2 examinations from the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or other institutes recognized by the M.G.University.
For M.Sc. Degree in BioSciences candidates with Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Agriculture, Biophysics, Biochemistry, chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and other Biological Sciences from institutes recognized by UGC are welcome. Candidates from Biomedical Engineering and Biotech Engineering background can also apply for this course
SCMS also offers a five-year integrated Master of Computer Application Program. The course is distributed into ten semesters. A candidate who wishes to apply for this program must have Physics and Mathematics in his/her +2 level along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject and should have a total of 45%. The institute has a relaxation of 5% for applicants who are physically challenged. Copies of 10th and 12th standard mark sheet along with a passport size photograph will be required during the application procedure. Candidates belonging to SC/ST must produce their community certificate as well. An application charge of Rs.650/- will be required that can be paid online or can be sent through a Demand draft in favor of "Director SSTM."
