Admission procedures

Yenepoya Medical College was established in the year 1999. Presently it conducts teaching in more than 20 postgraduate courses.

The admission procedures conducted in the college are like the usual general procedures in every medical college in India. Like every other college, the students first have to sit for an entrance exam after graduating from their 10+2 classes after attaining the eligibility criteria for that particular examination. After they crack the exam, their ranking on the exam will help them choose which stream of medical they would prefer. For the Yenepoya Medical College also, the eligibility criteria are first checked. This includes-

  1. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 pre-university examination in Karnataka or any other equivalent examination
  2. The candidate must be of 17 years of age as of the 31st of December at the year of admission.
  3. The candidate must have attained qualifying marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in any higher secondary examination conducted under any board.
  4. Candidate must have at least an aggregate of 50% in the Science subjects and English.

Apart from the above-mentioned criteria, admission can also be achieved on the basis of a management quota present in the college. There is also a management quota which is reserved for the NRI students. This quota enables students to get admission into the college by agreeing to pay a particular amount of money decided upon by the college administration and your seat will be guaranteed.
