Rajarajeswari medical college and hospital also known as RRMCH is a private college in Bangalore. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Both graduate and undergraduate courses are offered at the college. Students seeking admission to the college have many options when it comes to subjects. The admission process is conducted both online and offline. Students from all over the world are welcomed to take admission in the college. The college also provides a separate counselling session to help students keep their minds in the right track and decide what they want to do when they graduate.

Courses offered at the college

Before talking about the admission procedure at the college, let's take a look at the courses offered by the institution. The college offers the following courses

  1. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) – The full-time undergraduate course is of 5 years and 6 months. The course includes a mandatory internship conducted at a training institute. The number of seats for this course each year happens to be 150, and the course fee is Rs.547,000. This includes the tuition as well as the other fees.
  2. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) – This is an undergraduate course of 3 years.
  3. Doctorate of Medicine (M.D) – Postgraduate course of 3 years. The course fee is around Rs. 1,698,000.
  4. Master of Surgery (M.S) – Postgraduate course of 3 years, which conducted at the campus.
  5. Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) – Postgraduate course of 3 years.
  6. DM (Cardiology) – 3 years postgraduate course.
  7. Master of Surgery (MS) (General Surgery) – 3 years postgraduate course.
  8. PhD (Physiology) – 4 years postgraduate course.
  9. Diploma – This is a 2 years part-time diploma course, which is conducted at the main
  10. college campus.

Admission procedure to MD courses

In order to take admission to the MD courses in the Rajarajeswari college, aspirants need to pass the MBBS course with no less than 50% marks. The aspirant is required to complete their MBBS program from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or any other equivalent university or college which is recognised by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and by the Medical Council of India. Aspirants having less than 50% marks at the completion of their MBBS program will not be permitted to take admission in the college. Apart from the cut-off, the aspirant is also required to achieve good marks in the NEET PG 2019. For scheduled castes, a relaxation in the marks has been allowed by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The relaxation allowed is only 5% for the scheduled castes and the other backward classes.

So start preparing for the upcoming examinations. The admission is entirely merit-based, and after clearing the exams, you will be called for a counselling session.

Other things to keep in mind

If you are from outside the state of Karnataka, you will be required to get the eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Without the eligibility certificate, your admission will be cancelled. So make sure that you obtain the certificate for a small fee from the university.
