MS Ramaiah College of Engineering, comes under the umbrella of MS Ramaiah University. Established in the year 1962, the College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. However, since August 2007, it is working as an autonomous institute for imparting UG and PG degrees.

Industry Collaboration

The institute has several academic alliances with Government run and private organizations. This allows the students to work in collaboration with the industry and gain knowledge outside of the books. Some of these alliances are with Intel, IBM, and Schneider Electric etc.

While the institute has also partnered with ISRO in the year 2010, and 2012 for StudSat nano satellite, it is also credited for developing India�s first UAV (unmanned air vehicle). Wherein, the latter runs with an autopilot system.
