MD: Doctor of Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) is the 3-year post-graduate programme that can be done after the completion of the MBBS degree. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) is one of the specialities under the medical stream that teaches and prepares future doctors. The main aim of the course is to prepare the students with the various techniques about the study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases in the patients. The students of Doctor of Medicine (MD) will develop an in-depth knowledge of the field of medicine and medical science.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) students will become experts by studying medicines and treatments. They will develop the expertise to classify various medicines by carrying out various experiments and observations in the laboratories.

MD Pharmacology

MD Pharmacology trains the students on the biological effects caused due to drugs. The students of MD Pharmacology will get a comprehensive picture of usage and safety actions of the medications on the human body.  The main aim of this course is to prevent and treat diseases and deal with the hazards of herbicides and pesticides on the human body.

MD Community Medicine 

The MD Community Medicine involves the study of problems of the community The Community Medicine trains the students on various community medicines that can be given to prevent the spread of diseases in the community. The community medicine focuses on the nutritional issues and needs of underprivileged community

Eligibility

• The candidate should have passed MBBS with 55% aggregate from recognised university

• The candidate should have qualified NEET-PG Exam

The duration of the MD/MS course is 3 years
