B.Sc Nursing is a 4-years undergraduate degree programme that can be joined after the completion of PUC or 10+2 class. The main objective of the course is to develop the competency in knowledge and skills required to become a successful nurse. The course also provides comprehensive understanding of nursing care and also some of the skills related to problem-solving among the students. They are trained to work in individual homes, hospitals and communities and promote a healthier society.

The B.Sc Nursing course is formulated to imbibe the critical thinking skills, competence, ethics and standards required for nursing among the students. The B.Sc Nursing students are trained to use nursing skills in treatment of patients. The course also develops compassionate and empathetic mindsets among the nursing students, which is the major part when it comes to nursing as a profession.

Eligibility  

The students should have passed with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 45% aggregate (for general category) and 40% aggregate (for OBC/SC/ST category) in all these subjects from recognised boards are eligible to apply for B.Sc Nursing course.

The B.Sc Nursing is a 4-years long undergraduate course that is divided into 8-semesters.

Career Scope for B.Sc Nursing Students

After the completion of B.Sc Nursing the students can join as staff nurses in hospitals and clinics. If they are interested in higher studies, then they can join for an M.Sc Nursing course.
