The B.Sc Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology course also trains the students with in-depth knowledge of the anaesthesia and also the equipment used in operation theatre for surgery. The course helps the students to gain in-depth knowledge of the types of the anaesthesia equipment, types of anaesthesia agents, use and maintenance of equipment used in operation theatres.
The course equips the students with the techniques involved in anaesthesia administration, types of anaesthesia agents and also ensures them to closely monitor the patients under anaesthesia influence. The course has both theoretical and practical ways for helping the students and developing them into skilled and successful anaesthetists. The B.Sc anaesthesia students are also taught to perform other tasks that are relevant to the operation theatres in the hospitals.
The students who have passed PUC or 10+2 in science stream with Physics/Chemistry/Biology subjects with 45% aggregate (for general category) and 40% aggregate (for OBC/SC/ST category) from recognised board are eligible to apply for B.Sc Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology course at Akash Institute of Allied Health Sciences.
The B.Sc Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology is a 4-years long undergraduate course. The students will study 3-years of undergraduate degree and will also have to undergo a 1-year mandatory clinical internship.
