CAT (Common Admission Test) is the most sought after and most glamorous entrance examination for MBA/PGDM admission in India. CAT started in 1950 and is conducted by IIMs for Admission to their 2-year post-graduate management programs. The test is offered once a year and has one year validity. A number of other top B Schools in India accept CAT score as admission criteria. TCS received a 5-year contract, in 2014, to conduct the test.
